The Role

Dame Street is a busy, digital dental hospital in the centre of Dublin. Several floors, a full clinical list, and a team that relies on things being ready before the first patient sits down.

We are looking for a Dental Nurse Supervisor to keep that running. The role exists to support the Head Nurse: you are her second pair of eyes across the building, and the person nurses come to when something is missing, broken, late or unclear.

It is a hands-on, practical job rather than a desk one. Tasks vary with the needs of the business, but the constant is that the floors run well and the team is looked after.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Nurse across the building, taking day-to-day floor issues off her desk.

  • Oversee all floors to make sure staff are working to their roles and responsibilities.

  • Escalate problems to the right person, in the right order, quickly.

  • Receive and track deliveries, including lab work, and divide stock correctly between the floors.

  • Address and escalate missing, broken or malfunctioning equipment, and follow it through to a fix.

  • Carry out routine decontamination and infection prevention and control checks, and keep records current.

  • Support a smooth end of day and next-day readiness, surgeries turned around and the following day’s list checked against lab work, kit and stock.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years’ experience working in dentistry.

  • Experience leading, mentoring or supervising nurses.

  • Confident with Slack and Dentally, or similar practice software.

  • Reliable, with the follow-through to close a job out without being chased.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift during the day.

  • Available for both shift patterns, and flexible as the rota requires.

  • A calm, clear communicator who can hold a standard kindly.

Desirable:

• Experience in a multi-floor or high-volume practice.

• Familiarity with implant, sedation and/or digital workflows

Important Details Before Applying

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern: Early shift: 7:30am–2:30pm or Late shift: 1:30pm–8:30pm. The rota alternates between both shifts and is coordinated with the other supervisors, so flexibility and availability to work both shift patterns is essential.

  • Reports to: Head Nurse and Practice Manager. Works alongside the other supervisors.

  • €17.00 – €20.00 per hour, depending on experience and performance.

  • Full-time, permanent contract.

  • A busy digital hospital with genuine scope to progress as the group grows
